Studio Dawn began in the hands of one burnt out barista, cooped up in lockdown and in desperate need of something to find some emotional regulation in.
Chelsie began with making a couple of macrame plant hangers, needing to find space for her ever-growing plant collection - after discovering the mental peace that macrame brought, she was hooked. From there, Chelsie created a series of mindful macrame craft kits - and even though they’ve had a couple of rebrands and makeovers since then, they’re the same OG craft kits that sit on our shelves today.
Craft kits became craft workshops, macrame was joined by many other mediums, and one tired and lonely girl on her living room floor became the centre of a team of 7 incredible people who make Studio Dawn what is across our 2 shops!

Meet Chelsie,
Studio Dawn founder
Chelsie is our chief orange gal; still at the heart of the business, Chelsie runs the majority of our creative workshops, both at our shops and up and down the country too!
You can usually find her, coffee in hand, dressed in orange, whipping up some new product ideas or planning new workshops - if you’ve ever popped into our Manchester shop, chances are you’ll have seen her (and her cheeky shop mascot, Dasha!)
Chelsie’s workshops, alongside everything she does, are rooted in the deep desire to share creative self-care with as many people as possible - whilst these days she’s a smiley gal, creativity pulled her out of a dark place and has continued to be her vice in hard times, hence why she feels so passionately about sharing it with others, and creating safe, cosy and welcoming spaces for others to find peace.
You’ll find Chelsie’s influence everywhere; from orange painted walls to her favourite teas served at our workshops, but ultimately you’ll see that where you find her most is in the moments where silliness meets self-care.

She’s our self-care hype girl, the one behind the camera and the moments that bring the essence of Studio Dawn to life. If something we’ve shared has made you pause, smile, or feel a little more grounded, Bianca’s likely had a hand in shaping it.
Alongside this, Bianca is also our Leeds Shop Manager, meaning she’s often the person welcoming you into the space. Whether she’s helping you choose a self-care treat that actually fits your life, or looking after you while you wind down during a Paint & Chill session, she’s all about making sure you feel comfortable, cared for and at ease.

She's our future forward gal, the one always looking at what comes next for Studio Dawn! The events you see coming up, the new products hitting the shelves - all things our Bella has carefully curated to ensure there's always something new and exciting coming!
In addition, Bella is our Manchester Shop Manager and the queen of cute - from creating beautiful displays to running the most wholesome workshops, if Bella has had her hands on it then you can guarantee it's going to be fun with a good helping of whimsy!
